The trade sending Casey Powell to Anaheim was just the beginning of a busy stretch of trade activity. The San Jose Stealth acquired an experienced defenseman in Matt Ogelsby, who also resides in the Bay Area. The Entry Draft always produces a flurry of trades, with some clubs anxious to move up in the order selection and others looking to gain veteran players.

One of the more notable trades occurred between the San Jose Stealth who traded away their third round selection (31st overall) to the Colorado Mammoth in exchange for defenseman Matt Ogelsby.

Ogelsby, a seven-year veteran, scored eight points (2G, 6A) last season for the Mammoth. Prior to his time in Colorado he spent time with the Philadelphia Wings and the Calgary Roughnecks.

The following trades took place during the Entry Draft Weekend:

ARIZONA: Traded their 12th selection in the 2003 Entry Draft to the Vancouver Ravens in exchange for forward Peter Veltman and Vancouver's 14th selection in the 2003 Entry Draft.

ROCHESTER KNIGHTHAWKS: Traded their 15th selection in the 2003 Entry Draft to the San Jose Stealth in exchange for defenseman Brock Robertson. Traded their 20th selection in the 2003 Entry Draft to the Vancouver Ravens in exchange for forward Ryan O'Connor and Vancouver's 32nd selection in the 2003 Entry Draft.

SAN JOSE STEALTH: Traded their 31st selection in the 2003 Entry Draft to the Colorado Mammoth in exchange for defenseman Matt Ogelsby.

TORONTO ROCK: Traded their 27th selection in the 2003 Entry Draft to the Anaheim Storm in exchange for their third round selection in the 2004 Entry Draft.

Prior to the Entry Draft:

BUFFALO BANDITS: Traded forwards Marc Landriault, Casey Powell, Nate Watkins and a second-round pick in the 2003 Entry Draft to the Anaheim Storm for forward Neal Powless, goaltender Derek General, and first-round selections in the 2003 and 2005 Entry Drafts.
