Rochester Deals Bomberry To Arizona

The Arizona Sting acquired veteran forward Cory Bomberry from the Rochester Knighthawks, along with Rochester's 2nd round draft pick in the 2004 Entry Draft, in exchange for Jon Harasym and Kyle Arbuckle. Bomberry, who is well known for having one of the fastest shots in the game, joins a young team in Arizona after playing all seven seasons of his career in Rochester.

In seven years as a Knighthawk, Bomberry recorded 115 goals and 208 assists in 83 regular season games. He also took over 1,000 faceoffs for the Knighthawks winning 500, while scooping up 436 loose balls and serving 93 penalty minutes.

Rochester acquires two young players in exchange for Bomberry.

Forward Jon Harasym was selected second overall in the 2002 NLL Draft, and saw action in 15 games last season, scoring 13 goals and 14 assists. Harasym also added 50 loose balls along with 42 penalty minutes.

Forward Kyle Arbuckle joins Rochester after playing three seasons in Columbus. Arbuckle saw action in 39 games with his former team, scoring 44 goals and adding 54 assists
