Wings Ryan Out For Season

By National Lacrosse League

The Philadelphia Wings announced today that forward Tom Ryan will miss the entire 2003-04 season due to complications from a concussion suffered last season.

Ryan played eight games for the Wings during the 2003-04 and recorded 14 points (7G, 7A).

Known as 'The Dude' in Philadelphia because of his long dreadlocks, Ryan is a nine-year veteran having amassed 202 points (82G, 120A) in 95 games played during his career.

'In losing Tom Ryan for part of last season and all of this year, we not only lost a solid offensive and defensive player but our assistant captain and a player who has been a veteran leader on the field and in the locker room," Wings Head Coach Adam Mueller said. "Tom leaves everything on the floor in each game he plays and that has been a great example for all the young talent we have been bringing along in Philadelphia."
