Edmonton Rush GM/Head Coach Bob Hamley has announced the signing of free-agent forward Jason Wulder who will return for a second tour of duty with the Rush.
Wulder, a 14-year NLL veteran, spent the 2007 season with the Rush and set a franchise record with 35 assists during the year. He rejoins the Rush to play the role of set-up man on the new-look Rush offence which will be featuring newcomer and 2008 NLL all-star Andy Secore.
"I think Jason and Andy are going to have a terrific chemistry," noted Hamley. "Jason will work into the scheme of our offence very well and play a key role in getting the ball to all of our shooters. We need to raise our goal production in a big way this season and Jason is going to be a key contributor to that."
After his one season with the Rush, Wulder was traded to Colorado where he collected 47 points with the Mammoth in 2008. Prior to joining the Rush, Wulder spent five seasons with the Calgary Roughnecks and in 2002 he set career-highs with 45 assists and 68 points. Wulder also played seven years in New York prior to joining Calgary.
