Week 15 of the National Lacrosse League season saw the playoff picture get a little sharper, but also resulted in little movement in the latest power rankings from ILIndoor.com.
The Rock, Knighthawks and Rush each moved up one spot.
Toronto jumped to third despite falling 19-12 on Saturday to West Division-leading Colorado. Now at 7-7, the Rock are tied atop the East with Philadelphia.
The defending NLL champions will travel to Washington on Friday in another rematch of last season’s Champion’s Cup game. On March 3, Toronto fell 14-9 to the Stealth at the Air Canada Centre.
Rochester is now ranked sixth after Saturday’s 14-12 victory that ended Calgary’s six-game winning streak overall and on the road. The Knighthawks, who secured a berth later in the night after Washington lost to playoff-bound Minnesota, will meet Buffalo on Saturday night on the CBS Sports Network.
Edmonton moved up to seventh after continuing its surge with an 11-8 win over the Bandits last Saturday. The Rush have won three of four overall and need a win over Colorado or Calgary this weekend over a Stealth loss to make the postseason.
The Mammoth and Roughnecks held on to the top two spots, respectively, this week.
Buffalo took the biggest drop in the poll after sliding two spots to eighth with its defeat in Edmonton. At 5-9, the Bandits are still in the mix with the Rush and Stealth for one of the final two playoff spots.
