In this week’s team reports, Bob Chavez of ILIndoor.com looks to the race among three teams for the final two playoff slots in the 2012 National Lacrosse League season.
Heading into Week 16 action on Friday night, Buffalo, Edmonton and Washington are all still in the hunt for a postseason spot. Though they’re at the bottom of the East, the Bandits have a chance to win the division – they need wins in their final two games while Toronto and Philadelphia each drop their last two.
Edmonton can clinch as soon as Friday night with a win over West-leading Colorado. Washington, which has appeared in the last two Champion’s Cup games, must win its last two and get plenty of help to get back into the postseason.
