Edwards appeal hearing scheduled for Friday

The appeal hearing on the one game suspension issued to Toronto Rock defenseman Damon Edwards is scheduled to take place via conference call on Friday, May 11, 1pm Eastern before a neutral arbitrator.
On Tuesday, Edwards received a one game suspension by the league for boarding Buffalo Bandits player Ian Llord during the Divisional Semifinal Game on May 5.
Following the hearing, the arbitrator is expected to render his decision on Friday or Saturday. If the suspension is upheld, Edwards will not be eligible to play in the Divisional Final Game vs. Rochester on Saturday.
