It's been just over a month since the Rochester Knighthawks defeated the Edmonton Rush in the 2012 Championship Game. After the initial celebrations and taking some time to decompress from the long season, Knighthawks players and head coach Mike Hasen shared their thoughts on what the championhip means to them in a story on the Knighthawks website.
Knighthawks defenseman Rory Glaves, on winning his first championship in seven NLL seasons: "When you get to the pros, winning this Cup is the main reason you play."
The championship also had extra special meaning for Joe Walters, a Rochester native who said seeing the excitement of the fans made them know how much the title meant to the city.
