Colorado Mammoth forward Joel Dalgarno has been credited with saving the life of a woman who nearly drowned in Coquitlam, British Columbia.

According to this story in Coquitlam Now, Dalgarno heard the emergency whistle sound and went to the pool, where lifeguards had just pulled the victim out from the deep end of the water. The Mammoth forward took charge of the scene and immediately performed CPR on the victim.

"She definitely didn't have a pulse and she was cyanotic [had blue skin]," Dalgarno said in an interview with Coquitlam Now on Tuesday. "I just started CPR right away and followed the protocols that I have learned with the Coquitlam Fire Department and it worked out really well."

Dalgarno, who serves his home community of Coquitlam as a fireman, will be at Mammoth training camp as the team prepares for the 2013 season.
