Buffalo Bandits General Manager Steve Dietrich has announced that the Bandits have agreed to terms on a one-year deal with goaltender Anthony Cosmo.
“We are extremely happy to have Anthony back for another year,” Dietrich said. “To be successful in this league you need to have a great goalie and we feel we have the best goalie in the game right now in Cosmo.”
A 12-year NLL veteran, Cosmo (6'2", 205 lbs. 10/6/77) was acquired by the Bandits in a trade with the Minnesota Swarm last February, and eventually took over as the team’s starting goaltender, compiling a 3-3 record and a 12.41 goals-against average.
Cosmo was selected as the NLL Goaltender of the Year in 2007 as a member of the Stealth, and has appeared in three NLL All-Star games in his career, twice as a starter.
