Colorado's Gajic and Rochester's Evans assessed Game Misconducts

The National Lacrosse League has announced a summary of discipline stemming from incidents occurring during Week #6 of the NLL regular season for games played on Feb. 8-9.

Colorado Mammoth transition player Ilija Gajic has been assessed a Game Misconduct penalty stemming from being assessed two Major penalties against Washington on Friday, Feb. 8. Gajic received two Fighting Majors, the first at the 3:43 mark and the second at the 12:21 mark of the fourth quarter, resulting in an automatic Game Misconduct penalty for violation of Two Majors in One Game (Rule 38.2).

Rochester Knighthawks defenseman Dylan Evans has been assessed a Major penalty and Game Misconduct penalty stemming from a checking-from-behind incident on Buffalo's Chad Culp at the 14:38 mark of the first quarter on Saturday, Feb. 9. There was no call on the field, but upon league review, Evans has been assessed a Game Misconduct penalty for violation of Checking From Behind (Rule 76.3).

In other league discipline news, Toronto Rock defenseman Chris White had his one-game suspension overturned after his appeal hearing for an illegal cross check on Rochester's Casey Powell in the first quarter of their game on Saturday, Jan. 26. White was originally assessed a Match Penalty for violation of Illegal Cross Checking (Rule 63.3) but the arbitrator ruled in White's favor. The Match penalty has been removed from White's record, replaced with a Major penalty, and he is eligible to play tonight.
