In the National Lacrosse League, where almost one-third (25/79) of the NLL games in 2013 were decided by just one goal, one save can make all the difference. While Rochester Knighthawks goaltender Matt Vinc deservedly garnered most of the attention this past season, Philadelphia Wings goalie Brandon Miller also made a difference for his team while moving into the league's record book in the process.

Miller, who finished fifth in the league in both saves (556) and minutes played (831:51) in 15 games played, was the runner up for the 2013 NLL Goaltender of the Year award. Miller ranks second among the league's active goalies with 174 career games played behind Buffalo Bandits netminder and fellow 13-year veteran Anthony Cosmo (187).

Miller's 556 saves, which were the third-most in his career for a single season, moved him into the league's Top 10 for career save totals while Cosmo's 423 saves moved him closer to the top five.

Vinc, the NLL Goaltender of the Year who broke Rob Blasdell's single-season save record by stopping 662 shots, now sits right outside the Top 10 with 4,034 career saves after just eight seasons in the league.
