Once the dust had settled after a whirlwind couple of days at the 2013 NLL Combine and Entry Draft, several players found themselves on a new roster as teams wheeled and dealed personnel and draft picks over the weekend.

The Buffalo Bandits acquired forward Joe Resetarits, the hometown product who was the sixth-overall pick in last year's Entry Draft, from the Calgary Roughnecks along with the 15th-overall selection (used by Buffalo to draft Mitch Wilde) in the 2013 Entry Draft in exchange for the 10th-overall selection in 2013 (used by Calgary to draft Karsen Leung) and a second-round selection in 2015.

Resetarits is coming off his rookie season in the NLL in 2013 as a member of the Roughnecks. Appearing in 14 games, the 24-year old (6'0”, 190 lbs.) registered 24 points (8+16) and recovered 24 loose balls. Resetarits, a native of nearby Hamburg, NY, attended college at Albany University.

"We wanted to address some offense," said Bandits General Manager Steve Dietrich. "Bringing Joe back home, a first round pick last year, helps (with that)."

The Edmonton Rush acquired defenseman Nik Bilic and the fifth-overall selection (used by Edmonton to draft Robert Church) from the Minnesota Swarm via trade in exchange for the fourth-overall selection (used by Minnesota to draft Cameron Flint).

“Cam is one of the most athletic players I’ve ever scouted and what makes him even better is that his character is equal to his athleticism,” said Swarm owner and governor John Arlotta. “Not only is he athletic, but he is also very versatile in that he can play offense, defense and transition. We’re excited to add another young, athletic player to the Swarm organization in Cam Flint.”

"I believe we get a very talented young player in Robert, and at the same time, bolstered our defense by adding Nik Bilic," said Rush general manager and head coach Derek Keenan.

Buffalo acquired second-year forward Mitch Jones from the Vancouver Stealth in exchange for the 20th-overall selection (used by Vancouver to draft Tyler Digby) and a fifth-round selection in 2015.

Jones suited up in three games for the Stealth during his rookie season in 2013 and recorded four points (1+3). The 21 year-old (6'2”, 185 lbs.), was the 21st overall pick in the 2012 NLL Entry Draft after amassing over 100 goals and 200 assists in 70 games as a forward for three years in the Ontario Junior A Lacrosse League.

Minnesota traded a sixth-round selection in 2014 to Edmonton in exchange for the 52nd-overall selection (used by Minnesota to draft Nick Jonas).

Minnesota traded the 30th-overall selection (used by Edmonton to draft Reid Mydske) to Edmonton in exchange for the 42nd-overall selection (used by Minnesota to draft JJ Laforet) and a fourth-round selection in 2014.

The Toronto Rock traded the 53rd-overall selection (used by Buffalo to draft Dylan Goddard) to Buffalo for a sixth-round selection in 2014.

Right before the Draft, the Colorado Mammoth acquired forward Jackson Decker from the Calgary Roughnecks. The 23-year-old, who appeared in four games in his rookie season with the Calgary Roughnecks, was swapped for one of Colorado’s second-round picks in 2014.

“We continue to improve our team this off-season, with Drew [Westervelt] last week and now Jackson today,” said Mammoth president and general manager Steve Govett.

Decker, a native of Port Moody, British Columbia, is a Limestone College alumnus. The 6-foot-1, 194-pounder was a Division II national player of the year award winner in 2012.
