The National Lacrosse League has announced a summary of discipline stemming from incidents occurring during Week 6 of the 2014 NLL regular season for games played on Friday, Jan. 31 and Saturday, Feb. 1.

Rochester Knighthawks transition player Joel McCready has been assessed a one-game suspension stemming from a post-game fighting instigator incident with Edmonton Rush transition player Jeremy Thompson immediately following their game on February 1. Upon league review of the incident, McCready has been assessed an Instigator Minor and Game Misconduct Penalty (Rule 80.2) along with a Fighting Major and Game Misconduct Penalty for violation of Fighting Other Than During Periods Of The Game (Rule 80.16) which carries an automatic one-game suspension.

In other league discipline news, the appeals for Rochester Knighthawks forward Stephen Keogh and Vancouver Stealth forward Rhys Duch have been withdrawn. Both players will serve their suspensions this weekend.

Keogh was assessed a one-game suspension stemming from an illegal cross-checking incident on Buffalo Bandits defenseman Rory Smith at the 1:20 mark of the third quarter of their game on January 25. No penalty was called on the field, but upon league review of the incident, Keogh was assessed a Match Penalty for violation of Illegal Cross-Checking (Rule 63.3) which carries an automatic one-game suspension (Rule 41.2).

Vancouver Stealth forward Rhys Duch was assessed a one-game suspension stemming from an illegal cross-checking incident on Edmonton Rush defenseman John Lintz at the 12:36 mark of the third quarter of their game on January 25. An Illegal Cross-Checking Major Penalty was called on the field, and upon league review of the incident, Duch was assessed a Match Penalty for violation of Illegal Cross-Checking (Rule 63.3) which carries an automatic one-game suspension (Rule 41.2).
