The National Lacrosse League has announced a summary of discipline stemming from incidents occurring during Week 14 of the 2014 NLL regular season for games played on Saturday, March 29 and Sunday, March 30.
Calgary Roughnecks transition player Tor Reinholdt has been assessed a one-game suspension stemming from a high-sticking incident on Minnesota Swarm defenseman Alex Crepinsek at approximately the 5:28 mark of the second quarter of their game on Saturday, March 29. A high-sticking match penalty was called on the field, and upon league review of the incident, the match penalty has been upheld for violation of High Sticking (Rule 62.2), which carries an automatic one-game suspension (Rule 41.2).
Edmonton Rush defenseman John Lintz and Rochester Knighthawks forward Joe Walters have each been assessed one-game suspensions stemming from their fighting incident at approximately the 5:06 mark of the second quarter of their game on Saturday, March 29. A match penalty was assessed to both players on the field after their fight followed that of Edmonton's Chris Corbeil & Rochester's Johnny Powless, and upon league review of the incident, the match penalty for Lintz and Walters have been upheld for violation of Second Fight After The Original Fight (Rule 80.15), which carries an automatic one-game suspension (Rule 41.2).
Rochester Knighthawks defenseman Mac Allen has been assessed a game misconduct penalty stemming from an instigating incident on Edmonton Rush forward Cory Conway at approximately the 7:32 mark of the second quarter of their game on Saturday, March 29. Coincidental fighting majors were called on the field on both players, and upon league review of the incident, Allen has been assessed a game misconduct penalty for violation of Instigator (Rule 80.2).
