The National Lacrosse League has announced a summary of discipline stemming from incidents occurring during Week 17 of the 2014 NLL regular season for games played on Friday, April 18 and Saturday, April 19.
Toronto Rock defenseman Scott Johnston has been assessed a game misconduct penalty stemming from a boarding incident on Buffalo Bandits forward Shawn Williams at approximately the 7:13 mark of the second quarter of their game on April 18. No penalty was called on the field, but upon league review of the incident, Johnston has received a major penalty and game misconduct for violation of Boarding (Rule 74.3).
In other league discipline news, Vancouver Stealth transition player Tyler Garrison won the appeal of his one-game suspension and had his match penalty rescinded to a major penalty. He is eligible to play in both games this weekend.
Garrison was originally assessed a one-game suspension stemming from an elbowing incident on Toronto Rock transition player Ethan O'Connor at approximately the 2:48 mark of the third quarter of their game on April 5. No penalty was called on the field, but upon league review, Garrison received a match penalty for violation of Elbowing (Rule 78.4).
