Vancouver's Beers suspended one game following NLL review of incidents

The National Lacrosse League has announced a summary of discipline stemming from incidents occurring during the Week 18 finale of the 2014 NLL regular season for games played on Friday, April 25 and Saturday, April 26.

Vancouver Stealth defenseman Matt Beers has been assessed a one-game suspension stemming from a game misconduct for multiple major penalties in the same game against the Calgary Roughnecks on April 26. Beers was assessed a major penalty for fighting at the 15:00 mark of the second quarter and a major penalty for spearing at 13:28 of the fourth quarter. With the Two Majors in One Game game misconduct in the team's finale (Rule 38.2), Beers has been assessed a one-game suspension for violation of Game Misconduct Assessed In Teams Final Game (Rule 40.4).

Toronto Rock defenseman Ethan O'Connor has been assessed a game misconduct penalty stemming from a boarding incident on Minnesota Swarm forward Shayne Jackson at approximately the 10:08 mark of the fourth quarter of their game on April 26. A major penalty was called on the field, and upon league review of the incident, O'Connor has been assessed a game misconduct penalty for boarding (Rule 74.3)
