The Vancouver Stealth have announced the hiring of former Calgary Roughnecks star Kaleb Toth, currently one of five finalists for the NLL Hall of Fame, to help run the offense as an assistant coach with the team.

Toth played for 13 seasons in the National Lacrosse League (11 seasons with Calgary and two with the Toronto Rock) before retiring in 2012.  One of the most decorated players in NLL history, he won three Champion's Cups, in 2004 and 2009 with Calgary and in 2000 with Toronto and was selected four times to the NLL All Star Team.  He finished his NLL career with 346 goals, 438 assists and 723 points after being the 2nd overall selection in the 1999 NLL Entry Draft by the Toronto Rock. In addition to his three NLL Championships, he won a Minto Cup Championship and a World Indoor Championship with Team Canada.

“Kaleb is a winner pure and simple and we are very excited to have him join our organization, ” commented President and General Manager, Doug Locker.

“I’m grateful to the Stealth organization for giving me the opportunity to coach with a team that has a winning tradition.  I am looking forward to working with Dan (Perreault), the rest of the coaching staff and management, and I’m excited to bring my leadership on winning teams to help deliver the Champion's Cup to Vancouver,” said Toth.

“Kaleb has had a great playing career and is a respected coach in the Western Lacrosse Association. I’m very excited to have him join our staff, as he truly understands today’s game” said Head Coach Dan Perreault. “He will bring a dynamic, energetic, creative element to our bench.”

In addition to Toth, the Stealth have re-signed Assistant Coach Art Webster who will begin his 9th year with the Stealth Organization and Assistant Coach Dave Evans who enters his 6th year with the Stealth. Director of Player Development Kevin Alexander will also remain with the club in an expanded role to assist Kaleb Toth with the offense.  In addition, New Westminster Jr. A Assistant Coach Clay Richardson has been hired as the team's advance scout.

"I feel very fortunate to have a well rounded staff with both significant playing and coaching experience to our organization. It’s an exciting time and I’m looking forward to getting things underway,“ stated Perreault.
