Former Princeton standout returns East, signs with Philly

The Philadelphia Wings have signed transition player Josh Sims to a contract for the 2010 season. The former Princeton University standout played for the Colorado Mammoth franchise for the past seven seasons and helped the team win a championship in 2006. Sims was released by the Mammoth during training camp.

Wings acquire 2010 draft pick in exchange for transition player

The Philadelphia Wings and Calgary Roughnecks completed a trade on Friday, sending transition player Rob Van Beek to Calgary in exchange for a 2010 second round draft pick. Van Beek played in all 16 games for the Wings last season and picked up 83 loose balls. Van Beek has played his all five of his NLL seasons in Philadelphia, only missing one game in the past four seasons.
