PHILADELPHIA, PA – The Philadelphia Wings revealed their home uniform during an event at Atlantic Aviation this morning, while honoring local servicemen. The black home jersey hosts the Wings logo on the front and charcoal wings on the shoulders. Numbers on the back of the jersey are outlined in gold, while red can be found on the inseams.
“They’ve done a great job with the branding and I love the new logo,” said Paul Day, Head Coach of the Wings. “The first time I saw the jersey was today, so it’s pretty exciting to see it. It’s new, its fresh and its pretty unique.”
Coach Day also expressed his excitement for the 2018 Expansion Draft on July 16th, citing what Wings fans can expect out of their new team. “We want to be a young, fast and exciting team,” he said, “We want to score some goals, and we want people to know when they come to the rink in Philly they are going to get the hardest working team in the NLL.”
In conjunction with the jersey reveal, the Wings also announced a partnership with Inspira Health Network. Inspira will become the official healthcare provider for the team and its players.
“Our partnership with Inspira is rooted in community activation and health and well-being for local youth, as well as our players,” said Shawn Tilger, Wings Governor. “This partnership ensures our athletes have the highest level of care. Inspira’s partnership is instrumental in keeping our players healthy and promoting health and wellness to our local community.”
