Following a busy six-pack of games over the weekend, let’s take a look at Week 8 top performers in individual match-ups from around the National Lacrosse League.

Holden Cattoni (5)

 

On the second game of a back-to-back Cattoni lit up Rochester for five goals and five assists to help lead the Swarm to a 16-12 victory.

 

 

MOST POINTS

 

Randy Staats (11)

 

Another Georgia player takes a top performer spot as Randy Staats buried three goals and added eight helpers for a huge 11-point evening against the Knighthawks.

 

 

BEST SAVE PERCENTAGE %

Christian Del Bianco (0.875%)

 

In a pivotal early season Western Division showdown versus Vancouver, Del Bianco stopped 35-of-40 shots to snap Calgary’s three game losing streak and move them into second place.

 

 

MOST LOOSE BALLS

Kiel Matisz (13)

 

After coming up short so many times this season, the Wings finally secured their first win of the new era. They did by a single goal over Rochester (15-14) and every possession turned out to be crucial.

 

That’s what made Kiel Matisz’s 13-loose ball pickups so important. The 6’5” veteran also contributed three goals and five assists.

Chase Fraser (75%)

 

Winning 12 of 16 draws on the night and scoring a hat trick made Chase Fraser a key piece in Buffalo getting by Colorado 15-12. The Bandits are now just a half game out of first in the East with a 6-2 record.
