Roughnecks Sign Free Agent Jordan Mcbride For 2015 Nll Season

Calgary inks fourth-year NLL pro Jordan McBride & rookie Josh Sullivan

The Calgary Roughnecks have announced that the team has signed two free agents, forward Jordan McBride and transition player Josh Sullivan, both to one-year contracts for the 2015 NLL season, pending league approval.

McBride, a native of New Westminster, British Columbia, has played 28 NLL games with the Colorado Mammoth and Vancouver Stealth, recording 35 goals and 41 assists for 76 points over his three-year career. After being released by the Mammoth early in the 2014 NLL season, McBride signed with Vancouver in February before entering the offseason as a free agent. He starred as a key contributor on Team Scotland during the 2014 FIL World Lacrosse Championships in Denver this past summer. The Stony Brook University product was a second round (14th overall) selection in the 2011 NLL Draft.

Sullivan, 24, recently completed his third season with the St. Albert Sr. Miners (RMLL). The transition player from Red Deer, Alberta has registered five goals and nine assists over 13 career games with the Senior B club.

The 2015 National Lacrosse League season, the 29th year of pro indoor lacrosse featuring the world’s best players, opens on Friday, Jan. 2.
