ROUGHNECKS STRING TOGETHER BACK-TO-BACK WINS

Calgary brings down Colorado by a score of 13-9

The Calgary Roughnecks held the Colorado Mammoth to three first-half goals en route to a 13-9 victory on Saturday evening at the Scotiabank Saddledome.

The Riggers’ second consecutive triumph was highlighted by a multitude of team milestones.  Alternate captain Dane Dobbie surpassed 700 career points after finishing the contest with four goals and three helpers for a game-high seven points.  Assistant general manager and head coach Curt Malawsky recorded career win 47, becoming the most winningest coach in franchise history.  Lastly, goaltender Christian Del Bianco registered his first career home victory, making 51 stops in front of a crowd of 11,167.

Curtis Dickson (3), Holden Cattoni (2), rookie Zach Currier (2), Wesley Berg and Mitch Wilde also turned on the red light for Calgary which improves to 3-5 on the season.

The Roughnecks next see action on Friday, Feb. 16, when Week 11 of regular season brings the Vancouver Stealth (1-7) to the Scotiabank Saddledome.  It is a 7:00 p.m. face-off for a Throwback Party.  Fans are encouraged to head to the Rough House early for a $5 Happy Hour featuring food and beverage specials on the concourse from 5:30 – 7:00 p.m.
