Week Two Preview

Week two of the NLL season continues Friday, January 6th, when West Division foes Vancouver and Calgary meet at the Scotiabank Saddledome in Alberta. Faceoff is set for 9 P.M. ET. The Stealth and Roughnecks met four times last year, splitting the season series 2-2.

Despite being the last playoff seed in the West, the Roughnecks were able to make it all the way to the Western Finals last year before falling to eventual champion Saskatchewan. Vancouver will need to be better away from home this season, as they were victorious in just one road game last year.

Week two also features a trio of games Saturday night, including a world record event in Georgia at the Infinite Energy Arena. The Swarm host the Saskatchewan Rush in a game that will feature all four Thompson brothers in action at once, a professional lacrosse record! To read more about this special occasion, click here. After falling to Toronto in their season opener, the Knighthawks will be looking for their first win of the season Saturday night when the New England Black Wolves roll into Rochester. New England will look to carry over momentum from a strong 2016 campaign, where they qualified for the postseason and won their first playoff game in team history, making it all the way to the Eastern Finals. Rochester and New England will faceoff at the Blue Cross Arena, with action beginning at 7:30 P.M. ET.

Colorado will host Vancouver at the Pepsi Center for a Saturday evening nightcap beginning at 9 P.M. ET. Colorado will look to build off of an impressive 12-8 win in Buffalo last Friday. Colorado scored the first three goals in their opener against the Bandits, and the start of this game will be key as well, with the Stealth having played in Calgary the previous evening.
