Originally from Langley, British Columbia, Canada, Johnny Pearson currently resides on the west coast in the States in San Diego. Pearson played in the Jr. A league in Langley, earning himself a scholarship to play at Ohio State University. During his final season with the Buckeyes, Pearson started in 20 of the team’s 21 games, racking up 33 points on 26 goals and seven assists. Following his time at Ohio State, Pearson was drafted by the Ohio Machine of the MLL and the Saskatchewan Rush of the NLL. Though he spent most of his time on the practice squad for both teams, he was a member of the Machine’s championship run in 2017. He attributes his time with both clubs to the development of his game, saying he learned a lot during his short stints with the teams.

Pearson then signed with the San Diego Seals of the NLL as a free agent, where he spent the 2018-19 and 2019-20 seasons. During his time with the Seals, Pearson logged six points in 13 games. Pearson was traded to the New England Black Wolves in November of 2020 and is excited for the opportunity to be in a new city and see the impact that the sport will have on the Capital Region.
