Full Bio

From Maryland, Zach Goodrich is one of the best short stick defensive midfielders in professional lacrosse. A Towson graduate, Goodrich enjoyed an accolade-filled collegiate career. He was the first ever three-time team captain in program history and the first two-time First Team All-American for the Tigers. Goodrich capped off his junior season in 2018 with a CAA Conference Defensive Player of the Year award. In 2019, Goodrich was named the USILA Lt. J.G. Donald MacLaughlin Jr. award for most outstanding midfielder in the country. During his time at Towson, the Tigers won three conference championships and were at one point ranked #1 in the country during his senior year.

Following his incredible college career, Goodrich was drafted by both the Chrome LC of the PLL and the Boston Cannons of the MLL. He played both 2019 and 2020 with the Cannons, winning an MLL Championship with the team in his second season. Goodrich was then selected by the Cannons LC in the PLL entry draft in 2021. He looks forward to coming to Albany and learning the game of box lacrosse, stating that his style of physicality will translate well from the field game to the box.
