Full Bio

A New Jersey native, Brad Smith has been playing lacrosse at a high level for a long time. Smith was a member of the U-19 U.S. Men’s National Team in 2016, helping lead the team to a gold medal. Shortly after, Smith attended Duke University where he made an immediate impact on the field. During his four years as a Blue Devil, Smith earned All-American honors three times and All-ACC honors twice. He finished his career at Duke with 175 points from 87 goals and 88 assists in just 74 games.

Following his time in college, Smith was drafted ninth overall in the inaugural Premier Lacrosse League collegiate draft by the Whipsnakes LC. A lingering injury unfortunately kept him out his entire first season with the team, but he was a key offensive contributor for the Whipsnakes in their run for the 2020 Championship. In the team’s six wins on the season, Smith added 15 total points on eight goals and seven assists. Though he has yet to play a game in the NLL, Smith did sign with the Black Wolves during the 2019-20 season just before it was cut short due to Covid-19. Smith is looking forward to better learning the sport of box lacrosse and is excited for the challenge and to play in the Capital Region.
