The Calgary Roughnecks used two six-goal quarters to power past the Vancouver Stealth by a score of 15-12 on Friday evening at the Scotiabank Saddledome.
Leading the offensive surge for the home side was alternate captain Curtis Dickson with three goals and a trio of helpers. Holden Cattoni and Riley Loewen also added hat-tricks for the Riggers who picked up their first win in six home opener battles against the Stealth.
For the visitors, Logan Schuss found the back of the net on five occasions while adding three assists to finish the night with a game-high eight points.
Frank Scigliano went the distance between the pipes for Calgary, turning aside 51 of the 63 shots he faced.
The Roughnecks, now 1-1 on the young season, next see action on Friday, December 29, when the Colorado Mammoth visit the ’Dome (7:00 p.m., NLL TV).
Following next Friday’s game, fans are encouraged to remain seated for a fireworks display before heading down to the turf for autographs and photos with the Roughnecks.
