The East Division defeated the West Division 11-10 in Calgary. In front of 11,511 fans at the Saddledome, and a live national television audience on NBC, the East trailed 9-7 heading into the fourth quarter, but scored three straight goals to take a 10-9 lead. Arizona’s Dan Dawson fired back for the West scoring with less then three minutes remaining to tie the game and force overtime. In overtime, Buffalo Bandits veteran forward John Tavares scored the game-winning overtime goal at 1:15 into the extra period.
