35 Moments: Wings Win First Championship

The Philadelphia Wings won their first Championship in the third season of the NLL (then known as the MILL) versus the New York Saints in front of a then-record crowd of over 16,000 fans at the Spectrum. The Wings would hold on to win 11-10. This win catapulted the Wings fanbase as well as established the first dynasty in the league. The Wings would go on to play in nine of the next 13 Championships, winning six in the process. NLL Hall of Fame member, Class of 2010, John Tucker, would be Championship game MVP with 5 points (1g, 4a).
