Knighthawks Set to Host Black Wolves as Regular Season Comes to a Close

Saturday, April 27th will mark the end of the 2018-19 season for Knighthawks lacrosse. The Rochester Knighthawks (6-11) take on the New England Black Wolves (8-9) at Blue Cross Arena. The Knighthawks are officially eliminated from the playoffs while New England will head to the playoffs for the fourth consecutive season.

The Knighthawks easily took down the Vancouver Warriors, 18-6, at Blue Cross Arena on Saturday. Behind Kyle Jackson’s 10 points and Warren Hill’s 53 saves, the Knighthawks extend their winning streak to four straight.

The win eliminated the Warriors from the fourth and final playoff spot in the West Division, with the last spot in the West going to Colorado (6-11), due to the Mammoth winning the head to head tiebreaker over the Warriors this season, 2-1.

While the Knighthawks are currently one of the hottest teams in the NLL, it has not been as easy for the playoff bound Black Wolves. Sporting a 2-5 record throughout the months of March and April, New England is in desperate need of positive momentum heading into the playoffs, as a match with the top seeded Buffalo Bandits await.

Faceoff is set for 7:30 p.m. ET at Blue Cross Arena. You can watch the game live on B/R Live.
