Discipline Summary: Nll Week 8

The National Lacrosse League has issued a summary of discipline following official league review of NLL Week 8 for games played from Friday, Feb. 19 to Saturday, Feb. 20.

Saskatchewan Rush defenseman Nik Bilic has been assessed two game misconduct penalties stemming from elbowing and high sticking incidents against the Rochester Knighthawks on Friday, Feb. 19. Bilic received a major penalty and a game misconduct for elbowing (Rule 78.3) and a major penalty for high sticking (Rule 62.1), in which two major penalties carry an automatic game misconduct (Rule 38.2).

In other league discipline news, the appeal of the two-game suspension of Calgary Roughnecks defenseman Kellen LeClair has been withdrawn. The suspension stemmed from a high-sticking incident on Colorado Mammoth forward Jeremy Noble at approximately the 10:28 mark of the third quarter during their game on Saturday, Feb. 13. The officials called a five-minute Major Penalty on the field, and upon league review, LeClair was assessed a Match Penalty for violation of High Sticking (Rule 62.2), which carried an automatic two-game suspension (Rule 41.2).
