The Colorado Mammoth and Calgary Roughnecks met Saturday night in Calgary in a Western division rivalry matchup. The Mammoth came into the game on a three-game losing streak, while Calgary was coming off of a big win against Toronto the week before.
To start the game, Robert Hope scored 2:30 into the game to give Colorado the early 1-0 lead, but not before Calgary hit back with five straight goals.
The first two were by Curtis Dickson and Riley Loewen, followed by Rhys Duch (below), Dane Dobbie and Dan Taylor (below)
In a game of runs, the Roughnecks came back with five straight goals to take a 6-5 lead, with the game-tying goal by Ryan Lee below.
Dickson then notted the game up at six with a diving goal past Dillon Ward.
After Colorado scored again, Calgary’s Eli Salama scored (below), followed by Rhys Duch to tie the game up at eight.
Colorado then scored twice in a row to go up 10-8, with the two goals scored by Kyle Killen, his third goal of the game (below) and Eli McLaughlin.
Dan Taylor scored late for the Roughnecks to cut the deficit to one, but a late Colorado goal by Killen (his fourth goal of the game) cemented the win for the Mammoth.
Final score: Colorado Mammoth 11, Calgary Roughnecks 9.
