On Friday night, the Georgia Swarm and the Rochester Knighthawks faced off Friday night for the third time this season, with Georgia taking the first two games.
Georgia came out of the gate firing with the first five goals of the game, with the fourth, by Lyle Thompson, pictured below.
Rochester got on the board to make it 5-1, and then the Knighthawks scored five of the next seven goals to make the score 8-6. The below goals are by Ryan Benesch, and two by Chris Boushy, his third and fourth goals of the game. Benesch would finish with seven goals.
Up 9-7, Lyle Thompson scored on a diving goal to give the Swarm a 10-7 lead.
Three goals later, Jordan MacIntosh found the net to put the Swarm up 12-7.
Down 13-8, the Knighthawks scored five straight goals to tie the game 13. Both of the below two goals are by Boushy.
Shayne Jackson scored one of his five goals early in the fourth to give the Swarm a 14-13 lead, but off the next face-off, Jake Withers tied the game up at 14.
In a high-scoring first half, there were only four goals scored in the fourth quarter, and no goals scored after Jackson’s go-ahead goal with 11:38 to play in the game.
