The Mammoth (1-1) seek to bounce back at home this Saturday as they take on the New England Black Wolves (0-1), who are also coming off of a January 7th loss. Faceoff is set for 7:00 PM MST (9:00 PM EST) from the Pepsi Center.

Colorado got off to a slow start last week against the visiting Vancouver Stealth (2-0) and fell with a final score of 15-9 despite being a perfect 3-for-3 on power plays. Vancouver Forward Rhys Duch led all scorers with six goals and three assists. Colorado Forward Eli McLaughlin had a career night with 4 of the Mammoth’s 9 goals with just 8 shots.

This week the Mammoth are coming back with hopes of winning big in front of another 2017 season record-breaking crowd at the Pepsi Center. No doubt they’ll have their eye on New England Forward Shawn Evans. Evans led the Black Wolves in both regular season and post-season points. He wrapped up 2016 with 118 points (50 goals and 68 assists) with an additional 16 points in the playoffs. The Mammoth will be missing second all-time NLL goal and point scorer John Grant Jr. Grant was placed on the short term injured reserve on Thursday. Colorado plans to replace Grant’s production by activating 2016 first-round NLL Entry Draft pick, Forward Zach Herreweyers.

Herreweyers is expected to make his NLL debut on Saturday and brings an impressive resume with him. Last spring he led the Loyola Greyhounds to the Final Four in the Division 1 NCAA Lacrosse Championships in Philadelphia, where they fell to the eventual champion North Carolina Tar Heels. Herreweyers is a rookie out of London, Ontario and is expected to join Zack Greer, Eli McLaughlin, and Chris Wardle as one of four lefties to dress on Saturday.

Tickets can be purchased by visiting coloradomammoth.com or by calling (303) 405-1101.
