NLL LEGEND MATT VINC ANNOUNCES RETIREMENT

Vinc announced his decision Thursday in a letter to Bandits fans.  Over 20 NLL seasons, Vinc established himself as one of the greatest goaltenders the sport has ever seen. The St. Catharines, Ontario native retires as the NLL’s all-time leader in regular-season wins (182), saves (11,824) and minutes played (17,836). He was named NLL Goaltender of the Year a record eight times.

Vinc also captured six NLL championships, winning three consecutive titles with the Rochester Knighthawks from 2012-14 before helping the Buffalo Bandits win three straight from 2023-25. His career included stops with the San Jose Stealth, New York and Orlando Titans, Rochester Knighthawks and Buffalo Bandits.

His retirement will become official once the League completes its standard transaction process.
