NLL West Division is as Wild as Ever

Another National Lacrosse League season is a week old. I thought this was a perfect time to revisit what each team in the West did via the draft and free agency as well as judge what the early returns on those investments are.

The Rush are the defending consecutive division champions since 2012. That’s quite a run of dominance in a group of western clubs that outside of Saskatchewan are generally unpredictable in where they finish in the wins and losses columns. In 2017 Calgary missed the playoffs for the first time in over a decade, while the Stealth broke their postseason drought.

2018 NLL West Division Standings heading into Week 2:

TEAM W L
Colorado 1 0
Saskatchewan 0 0
Vancouver 0 1
Calgary 0 1

I discussed the roster maneuvering and Game 1 results with Stephen Stamp from IL Indoor

The West should end up as wild and close as ever.
