Rochester Meets Buffalo For Final Time This Season

The Knighthawks are sitting at (2-6) and are in 5th place in the East Division which is somewhere they were not expecting to be this season. The Knighthawks brought back a majority of the roster that made the NLL Finals last season for them but have yet to see anything that resembles last year’s team. Rochester currently has a (0-5) away record with both of their wins coming at home (2-1). One of those Knighthawks wins coming against the Buffalo Bandits (8-2) on January 26, in which they scored a season high 18 goals and will be looking to repeat that Friday night in Rochester.

The Knighthawks currently have a -15 goal differential with 91 GF to 106 GA. So if the Knighthawks want to steady the course of their season they need to be better on both the offensive and defensive side of the ball. The Bandits are coming into Friday’s contest with a +36 goal differential with 146 GF to 110 GA. The Knighthawks are hopeful they can get to Bandits goalie Matt Vinc like in their previous contest where Vinc was pulled after the 3rd quarter. Austin Shanks in that game had a season high 8pts (7 G, 1A) in their win over Buffalo and will be a player to watch on Friday night.

The Knighthawks on Friday will be also having a 90’s Night promotion throughout the game and also will be honoring the inaugural 1995 Rochester Knighthawks team. The 95’ Knighthawks will be honored with a ceremony before faceoff.

The game currently is set to start at 7:30 PM at Blue Cross Arena in Rochester.
