Stealth Extend Qualifying Offers To Duch Along With Beers & Grimes

Vancouver solidifies veteran core by avoiding free agency for trio of players

The National Lacrosse League has announced that the Vancouver Stealth have made qualifying offers to star forward Rhys Duch along with core defensemen Matt Beers and Mike Grimes. By sending the offers prior to the July 31 deadline, the Stealth ensured that the trio of players will not enter restricted free agency.

Forward Jamie Lincoln and defenseman Chris O’Dougherty remain as restricted free agents with the NLL free agency period set to begin on August 1. Forward Brett Bucktooth, defenseman Jeff Moleski and goaltender Matt Roik all qualify as unrestricted free agents on the Stealth roster.

Earlier this month, Vancouver opened the league’s player signing period by agreeing to one-year deals with 10-year veteran defenseman Curtis Hodgson, transition player Justin Salt, and goaltender Neil Tyacke.
