Trade: Knighthawks Get Gillam & Maracle From Swarm For Picks

The Georgia Swarm and Rochester Knighthawks today announced a trade with the Knighthawks acquiring forward Josh Gillam & Joe Maracle from the Swarm in exchange for the Knighthawks’ second-round selection in the 2018 NLL Draft along with Rochester’s highest third-round selection in the 2016 NLL Draft.

Gillam, 27, appeared in two games for the Swarm this season, and notched six points (4G, 2A). In four career seasons with the Swarm, the Peterborough, Ontario native registered 66 points (25G, 41A) and 101 loose balls. The Swarm selected Gillam with the No. 18 overall selection (second-round) in the 2010 NLL Draft.

Maracle, 21, posted four points (1G, 3A) in three games with the Swarm during his rookie season in 2015, and was on Georgia’s practice squad in 2016. The Swarm drafted the 5-foot-11, 195-pound, left-handed forward No. 10 overall (second-round) in the 2014 NLL Draft.
