The Buffalo Bandits were looking to extend their win streak to five when they visited the Rochester Knighthawks Friday night. The Knighthawks won by five the last time these two teams met.
The Knighthawks came out strong when Austin Shanks scored the first goal of the game to give them an early lead.
Buffalo answered with five unanswered goals from three different players to give them a 5-1 lead in the first half.
The Knighthawks responded with four straight goals to when Scott Campbell tied the game back up at 5-5 before the second half.
Each team traded goals to start the second half, and eventually Rochester found themselves ahead, 8-7.
From that point forward, Buffalo scored four straight goals to end the quarter ahead, 12-7. Below is Shawn Evans and Chase Fraser’s goals.
Rochester scored early in the fourth quarter to narrow the deficit to 12-8, but Buffalo came back with three straight goals to take a 15-8 lead.
