Week 12 GIF Recap: Colorado @ New England

The New England Black Wolves faced off against the Colorado Mammoth last Sunday afternoon in New England.  The Black Wolves entered the game on a two-game winning streak while the Mammoth, at 3-6, were coming off of a loss to the Rush in Saskatchewan the week prior.

Stephan Leblanc got things rolling with a highlight reel goal :36 seconds into the game. The goal was featured as the No. 1 goal on SportsCenter’s top-10 plays.

After Reilly OConnor scored for the Black Wolves later in the first quarter, Ryan Lee found the net to get the Mammoth on the board.

The Black Wolves followed with two straight goals by Tyer Digby and Callum Crawford to take a 4-1 lead.

Down 4-1, the Mammoth scored three straight goals in a four minute span. Eli McLaughlin scored twice and Kyle Killen scored once. Below is McLaughlin’s second goal to the tie game up at four.

Second Half

After both teams traded goals at the end of the first half and into the second half, the Black Wolves scored three goals in a row to take a 9-6 lead. Below is Crawford’s goal which gave New England an 8-6 lead.

Colorado fired back with two straight goals to narrow the deficit to one. The below goal belongs to Brent Adams, his third of the season.

Both Colorado and New England traded goals, and then the Black Wolves scored twice in a row to end the third quarter. Tyler Digby (below) scored late in the third quarter to give New England a 12-9 lead. The goal would be reviewed and upheld.

McLaughlin scored 2:49 into the fourth quarter to cut Colorado’s deficit to two, but New England scored five of the next six goals to end the game. Both goals below belong to Crawford, who finished the game with four goals and seven assists.
