The Power Rankings are not based solely on wins and losses. If they were, they’d be the Standings. That means we can play around with positioning a little bit based on big scores, potential, upcoming opponents, etc. However, after Week 11, there hasn’t been any movement between the top four teams, who continue to assert dominance over whoever they face. Things get a little muddier at number five with teams hovering around .500. How did all the chips fall this week? Read on to find out.
Week 11 Result: Beat Calgary 11-9
Week 12 Opponent: at Rochester (4-4)
Previous Ranking: N/A
After falling out of the Top 8 last week, the Black Bears are back after a win over Calgary. The Roughnecks took a fourth-quarter lead, but the Cardiac Kids did it again, with Jeff Teat kicking off a three-goal run that ended the game and evened Ottawa’s record back at .500. Call him a man on a mission: Teat still leads the League in points with 73 after acquiring nine against Calgary – four goals and five assists with a whopping 18 shots on goal.
Week 11 Result: Lost to Georgia 12-9
Week 12 Opponent: vs. Colorado (6-2)
Previous Ranking: 6th
The Desert Dogs definitely missed Chase Fraser this weekend, as they fell to Georgia 12-9 after a brief two-game win streak. We’ve gotten used to seeing Vegas put up double digits on the scoreboard – they average 12.4 goals per game. The last time they only scored nine was in their season opener when they were still learning how to play together. Against a streaking Georgia team, Jonathan Donville and Kyle Killen each had a hat trick, and Landon Kells was decent with 34 saves.

Rochester Knighthawks at Vancouver Warriors – 02.07.26 (Jaclyn McKee)
Week 11 Result: Lost to Vancouver 16-15
Week 12 Opponent: vs. Ottawa (5-5)
Previous Ranking: 5th
Earlier in the season, we saw Halifax fall off after double losses in a home-and-home series against Saskatchewan. Rochester has now lost three in a row, the last two to Vancouver (a fierce rival), a team they can’t wait to move on from. The Knighthawks still have the potential to be a dangerous team – they showed that in Week 11, both with physical play and by taking an early lead on Vancouver and then getting within a goal of a major comeback after outscoring the Warriors 8-3 in the second half.

Week 11 Result: Beat Oshawa 12-10
Week 12 Opponent: at Colorado (6-2)
Previous Ranking: 8th
The Rock improved to 5-3 this weekend with a two-goal win over Oshawa, putting them on a modest two-game win streak. Toronto had previously fallen by a single goal to Oshawa in the FireWolves’ home opener, which began a fierce three-way Battle of Ontario (including Ottawa). The Rock has now beaten its geographic rivals in consecutive games, giving them valuable wins midway through the season. It was perhaps their most balanced offensive output of the season, which so far had been commanded by their rookies. But in Week 11, Challen Rogers led with a hat trick, and Josh Dawick, Chris Boushy and Dan Craig each scored twice. Defensively, they blocked 13 shots, and Troy Holowchuk made 41 saves. The Rock is playing its best lacrosse of the season and will look to knock the Mammoth down a peg or two in Week 12.

Week 11 Result: Beat Las Vegas 12-9
Week 12 Opponent: at Calgary (1-7)
Previous Ranking: 4th
After a fourth consecutive victory, the Swarm have established themselves as one of the League’s elite teams. They bested the Chase Fraser-less Desert Dogs in most categories: shots on goal, blocked shots, loose balls and caused turnovers. Lyle Thompson and Shayne Jackson each had great games with eight points each. Next week, the Swarm head to Calgary to face the Roughnecks, whom they beat in the Edmonton UnBOXed game 19-9. The Roughnecks will be playing their second home game in two days. That, combined with their 1-7 record, gives Georgia a big opportunity to extend its streak.
Week 11 Result: Beat Rochester 16-15
Week 12 Opponent: at Saskatchewan (8-1)
Previous Ranking: 3rd
While the Warriors’ win probably wasn’t as big as they would have liked – a 13-7 halftime lead turned into just a 16-15 win – it was still a win, and their third in a row. The Warriors have been playing explosive lacrosse, scoring 44 goals in that time. On Saturday, seven of them came from Curtis Dickson, who became the fourth player in league history to reach 600 goals. Concerning, though, is that once again the scoring dried up in the second half, with the Warriors only capitalizing three times as the Knighthawks inched closed to tying it. Vancouver needs to find a second wind and start playing a full 60 if they want to hang on to their momentum.
Week 11 Result: Idle
Week 12 Opponent: @ Las Vegas, vs. Toronto
Previous Ranking: 1st
After their well-earned bye week, the 6-2 Mammoth face a challenging two-game weekend, visiting Las Vegas on Friday and hosting Toronto on Saturday. Should they take both games, their winning streak will extend to 7 games, matching the Rush’s current streak. Las Vegas is coming off a loss with no news on Chase Fraser’s timeline to return, while Toronto is coming off a win over rival Oshawa. Toronto might prove the bigger challenge, as the Mammoth will have just traveled home from Vegas, and the Rock are firing all cylinders and feeling confident. Colorado will have to get some help from their home crowd to give them an extra burst of energy.

Week 11 Result: Beat San Diego 12-9
Week 12 Opponent: at Oshawa (2-8)
Previous Ranking: 2nd
Dropping down the Mammoth after a bye week may not seem fair, but the Rush are just too good to deny them first overall this week. The Rush have dominated teams all season, but on Saturday, they squeaked out a comeback win. The Seals beat the Rush in every category except the one that counts the most. San Diego held Saskatchewan scoreless until the second quarter and then led 6-4 at halftime, but you can’t keep the Rush down for long. Their tenacity took over and they scored eight of the game’s last 11 goals to extend their win streak to seven games. The Mammoth are breathing down their necks, but right now, the Rush are the undisputed best team in the league thanks to their ability to completely take over in any game they play.
