Week 15 GIF Recap: Colorado at Vancouver

The Vancouver Warriors and Colorado Mammoth faced off in a home-and-home series this weekend, with the first game in Vancouver on Friday night and Saturday’s game taking place in Colorado.

In the first game on Friday night, Vancouver’s Logan Schuss broke the scoreless tie 1:04 into the game with his 16th goal of the season.

Down 2-0 after a Mitch Jones goal, Ryan Lee scored (below) followed by Kyle Killen‘s 22nd goal of the season to tie the game at two.

After both teams traded goals to tie the score at three, Eli McLaughlin found the net for Colorado, followed by Keegan Ball (below) for Vancouver to again tie the score, this time at four.

Colorado hit back with three goals in a row, the first by Jeff Wittig, the second by Lee (below), and the third by Jacob Ruest which gave Colorado the 7-4 lead.



Up 6-4, Ruest ripped a right-handed wrister to give the Mammoth the 7-4 lead heading into the half.

Second Half

Schuss scored one minute into the second half for his second goal and to cut the Warriors deficit to two, 7-5.

After Wittig scored for the Mammoth, Justin Salt and Schuss (below) scored back to back goals for the Warriors to cut the score to 8-7.

But the rest of the game was all Colorado, with the Mammoth scoring three straight goals to end the game and take game one of the weekend series.

The goals below belong to Cody Vitarelli and Lee.

Final Score: Colorado Mammoth 11, Vancouver Warriors 7.
