Week 8 GIF Recap: Colorado @ Buffalo

Having seen Georgia and Toronto win on Friday night, the Buffalo Bandits had to win to keep up with the top teams in the Eastern Conference.  As for Colorado, they were looking for their first road win of the year, and to keep pace with Vancouver for the final playoff spot in the West.

Right away, Buffalo scored. And they scored some more. Shawn Evans scored the first two goals of the game, followed by Jordan Durston and Chase Fraser to give the Bandits a 4-0 lead.



Down 4-0, the Mammoth scored four goal in a row themselves. The first goal was scored by Eli McLaughlin, followed by Ryan Lee, and two by Kyle Killen to even the score at 4.



Matt Gilray, Dhane Smith, and Nick Weiss scored for Buffalo to give the Bandits an 8-5 lead.


Second Half

Killen ended the Bandits run for his third goal of the night for the Mammoth.

But the Bandits stormed right back, with a goal by Smith.

Down 8-5, the Mammoth roared right back, tying the game on three goals by Jacob RuestRyan Benesch, and Chris Wardle.


Buffalo roared back with six of the next seven goals. They scored three in a row to take an 11-8 lead before Colorado ended the streak on a goal by Ruest. Buffalo then hit back with three straight goals, again, to take a 14-9 lead.

In order, Buffalo’s goals were scored by Mitch de Snoo, Fraser, SmithFraser (again), Gilray, and Evans (for his third goal of the night).






Down 14-9, Colorado scored three goals to cut the lead to 14-12, but Ethan OConnor scored an empty-netter for Buffalo to ice the game.

Colorado’s three goals were scored by LeeMcLaughlin and Stephen Keogh.


Final score: Buffalo Bandits 15, Colorado Mammoth 12.
