Week 8 GIF Recap: Vancouver @ Calgary

After splitting the first two games of the regular season, the Calgary Roughnecks and Vancouver Warriors faced off Saturday night at the Scotiabank Saddledome in Calgary for the rubber match.

Vancouver started the game off hot with three straight goals in the first five minutes of the game.  Logan Schuss scored the first two (with both assisted by Mitch Jones) and James Rahe scored the third to put the Warriors up 3-0.

Calgary struck back with two goals to make the score 3-2. Former Warrior Rhys Duch scored, followed by Curtis Dickson.

Jordan McBride scored to put Vancouver up 4-2.

Before Calgary rattled off three straight goals to take a 5-4 lead.  Dane Dobbie, Dan Taylor, and Dickson scored for the Roughnecks.

Second Half


Jones
tied the game up at 5 for Vancouver, but it would be the last goal of the game for the Warriors.

Calgary rattled off three straight goals to end the game, the first by Mitch Wilde, followed by Dickson’s third, and Duch’s second of the game.



Final score: Calgary Roughnecks 8, Vancouver Warriors 5.
