The Colorado Mammoth are back on the road after two massive wins during last weekend’s doubleheader, and now sit comfortably in second place with an 8-2 record. They began Week 12’s competition with a nail-biter one-goal win against the Desert Dogs before taking it back to Ball Arena for a 16-8 home win against the Toronto Rock. Now with a much shorter weekend ahead, the Mammoth are headed up to Hamilton, Ontario, for a second run-in against the Rock.

In their previous Saturday night sighting, the Mammoth ran away with an early five-point lead, opening the competition with an unassisted transition goal from faceoff specialist Matthew Paolatto. A transition goal from Phil Mazzuca would put the Rock on the scoreboard before the end of the first quarter, and newly minted relief goalie Steve Orleman finally made his Rock debut against the Mammoth since being acquired from the Buffalo Bandits, but his and Troy Holowchuk’s 45 saves were unable to pull their squad closer than a three-goal deficit.

With only a few short weeks left in the regular season, these late-stage wins mean all the more for teams stuck in the middle slots on the leaderboard. Now holding the home field advantage, Toronto has a chance to climb back up the board with a get-back home win, potentially tying with Vancouver for the fourth seed depending on the outcome of their rough-up with Buffalo later in the evening.

The Rock and the Mammoth kicks off the rematch this Friday at 7:30PM ET on ESPN+, NLL+ and TSN+.

2025 Semifinals Rematch: Bandits vs. Warriors on NLL Friday Night on TSN

The Buffalo Bandits are back in the win column and back on your TV’s for the NLL’s return to Friday Night on TSN. If the Friday night lights weren’t enough for you Bandits fans, Buffalo is on the road for an electrifying away match against the Vancouver Warriors, decked out in KISS kabuki makeup for Rock and Roll Night!

The Bandits have finally broken their losing streak after their to-the-wire win over Halifax last weekend, skating by with a one-goal lead secured by Dhane Smith in the final minutes. Their rough-up in Nova Scotia turned into an offensive shootout in the early minutes, with the Bandits picking up a quick two-goal lead that the Thunderbirds would spend the majority of regulation chasing and tying. Despite the win, Smith and the Bandits’ offense delivered an up-and-down performance in Halifax, giving up several key unforced turnovers that allowed Halifax to close the gap in the second quarter and tie it back up in the fourth. But with the wind back in their sails, Buffalo could find themselves back within playoff contention provided they keep the steam over their next several matchups.

Vancouver, on the other hand, while still one of the five teams with six or more wins, is no longer sitting as comfortably as in previous weeks. After winning their two-game series against the Rochester Knighthawks, the Warriors were faced with the #1 Saskatchewan Rush. Though they gave the Rush a run for their money, sporting multiple three-point performances and a six-point evening for Adam Charalambides, Vancouver fell just short of their seventh in overtime.

Now, with the danger of dropping from the top four with a loss looming overhead, the Vancouver Warriors need a win to re-secure their position on the League leaderboard. Though the Bandits might not jump as high as they’d like with a win this weekend, a victory would still put them in a better position than the week before.

The Warriors welcome the Bandits this NLL Friday Night on TSN at 10:00PM ET. Streaming is also available on EPSN+, NLL+ and TSN+.

Thunderbirds Square Off Against Surging Seals

The Thunderbirds return this weekend for another round of Saturday night action, this time against the climbing San Diego Seals! Now in desperate need of a win after last weekend’s nail-biter against the Buffalo Bandits, Halifax is ready to bring the hurt at the Electric Factory.

Though the ball didn’t quite fall in their direction last weekend, the Thunderbirds still sent Buffalo home with a reminder that they are not to be overlooked. Halifax forwards Clarke Petterson and Randy Staats both notched seven points in last week’s contest, and goaltender Drew Hutchison’s 24 saves kept the Thunderbirds in the running until the final buzzer.

On the home bench, the Seals have been steadily moving their way up the rankings, inching closer to the top with each passing week. Despite a quick drop after Week 11’s loss to Saskatchewan, the Seals’ victory over Oshawa last weekend gave them a much-needed boost into the sixth seat. Their trip to the Tribute Communities Centre brought with it monumental efforts from captain Wes Berg (2G, 7A) and Ben McIntosh (5G, 1A), as well as a takeover of the loose ball battle by the San Diego defense.

Now sat at 3-6, the Thunderbirds are in danger of falling further down the rankings and becoming unable to steer their postseason hopes back onto the right track. But facing off against a hot San Diego squad could tank their hopes heading into the March to May.

San Diego welcomes Halifax this Saturday at 10:00PM ET on ESPN+, NLL+ and TSN+.

First-Place Rush Face Wings in Sunday Matinee

The Saskatchewan Rush host the Vancouver Warriors at SaskTel Centre in Saskatoon, Saskatchewan, Canada, February 14, 2026

The Saskatchewan Rush set off for warmer weather for this weekend’s Sunday Matinee against the Philadelphia Wings. After a close-call overtime win against the Vancouver Warriors in Week 12, the Rush are looking for their tenth win in the City of Brotherly Love to become one step closer to being the first team to clinch a playoff berth.

In last weekend’s home bout against the Warriors, the Saskatchewan defense was put on high alert, as the Rush started the competition trailing by two-goals. However, the Rush’s 72 loose ball pickups and Frank Scigliano’s 32 saves kept the clock ticking and the Warriors away from a guaranteed win. Levi Anderson and Zach Manns’ respective five and six-point games kept the score neck-and-neck into extra minutes, but Robert Church’s fourth point and second goal of the evening cemented the Rush’s ninth win just 44 seconds into overtime.

The Wings, however, are still struggling to find consistent success from week to week. Despite a hot start in Week 12’s matchup against the Calgary Roughnecks, pulling out a two-goal lead to end the first quarter, Philly’s penchant for ill-timed penalties at crucial stages in competition came back to bite them, with a holding call on Scott Dominey in the third quarter delivering the opportunity for the Roughnecks’ Tanner Cook and Tyler Pace to tie the score with a Power Play goal.

With this weekend’s opponent on an eight-win hot streak, the Wings are going to need to pull together a complete 60 minutes if they hope to deliver the Rush their second loss of the season and prevent an early clinch. Saskatchewan, on the other hand, holds all the cards and needs to keep from getting complacent against this historically chippy Philadelphia squad.

Tune in to ESPN+, NLL+ and ESPN+ at 3:00PM ET for your dose of afternoon NLL.
