Bandits Sign Six Players For 2016 Nll Season

The Buffalo Bandits have announced six signings ahead of the 2016 NLL season with two-year contract agreements for transition players David Brock and Alex Kedoh Hill along with goaltender Davide DiRuscio plus one-year contracts for transition player Matthew Bennett, forward Tyler Ferreira and defenseman Matt Spanger.

Brock recently completed his third season with the Bandits, posting eight points (1+7) and 41 loose ball recoveries in 15 games during the 2015 campaign. The six-year NLL veteran has 34 points (14+20) in 70 career NLL games.

Kedoh Hill experienced a breakout season in 2015. He played in all 18 games and finished among the team leaders in goals (4th, 23), assists (4th, 26), points (4th, 49), loose ball recoveries (3rd, 101) and created turnovers (1st, 23). The Six Nations, Ontario native’s numbers during the 2015 season eclipsed his previous career totals in every offensive category.

DiRuscio played 14 games for the Bandits during his rookie campaign in 2015, posting a 1-0 record with an 11.88 goals-against average and a .754 save percentage in 75:45 of playing time.

Buffalo’s two second-round picks in the 2014 NLL Draft, Bennett (14th overall) and Ferreira (18th overall) spent most of the season on the team’s practice squad. Bennett collected seven loose balls in two games played as a runner, and also served as the Bandits’ backup goaltender on an emergency basis for one game.

Spanger is currently playing for the Brampton Excelsiors of Major Series Lacrosse. He has one goal and one assist in eight games for the club.
