Bandits’ Smith Wins ‘Pinty’S Wingman’ For Week 6

The National Lacrosse League has announced Buffalo Bandits forward Dhane Smith as the “Pinty’s Wingman of the Week” award winner for Week 6 of the 2015 NLL season.

Smith, who posted a career-high 10 points (5+5) in Buffalo’s 15-14 overtime road win over the Calgary Roughnecks this past Saturday, ranks third in the league with 39 points (16+23) in seven games played this season.

The Kitchener, Ontario native’s 16 goals are second-most in the league to date while his 23 assists are good for third among NLL players. Smith, Buffalo’s first-round (5th overall) selection in the 2012 NLL Draft, is also seventh among all forwards with 26 loose balls in his third pro season.

Pinty’s is an official partner for the NLL on TSN during the 2015 season. Each week, an NLL player will receive the “Pinty’s Wingman of the Week” award based on their performance with respect to passing prowess and playmaking abilities. The weekly award winners will be entered into the pool of finalists for the “Pinty’s Wingman of the Year” award at the end of the season.
