Black Wolves’ Crowley Wins ‘Air Canada Wingman’ For Week 13

The National Lacrosse League has announced New England Black Wolves forward Kevin Crowley as the “Air Canada Wingman of the Week” award winner for Week 13 of the 2016 NLL season.

Crowley posted a combined 15 points (3+12) with 12 assists in the Black Wolves’ weekend sweep of the Rochester Knighthawks. Crowley recorded a game-high nine assists, which tied the single-game high by an NLL player this season, in New England’s 16-13 home win on Friday, then added three more assists plus the game-winning goal in Saturday’s 10-8 road win.

The 27-year-old currently ranks eighth overall in the NLL in assists (41), 11th in points (63) and 23rd in goals (22) while adding 40 loose balls. Crowley has recorded at least three points in all 11 games played this year, with five or more points in nine games, and has helped New England to a 7-4 record so far.

The fifth-year pro has registered at least 64 points in each of his four full seasons in the league with 25-plus goals and 35-plus assists in every campaign. From New Westminster, B.C., Crowley played collegiately at Stony Brook University where he was a two-time All-American, Tewaaraton Award finalist and finished as the school’s all-time points leader, before being drafted first overall in the 2011 NLL Draft.

Air Canada is the Official Airline Partner for the NLL. Each week, an NLL player will receive the “Air Canada Wingman of the Week” award based on their performance on the turf with respect to passing prowess and playmaking abilities.
